Common Core State Standards

The Yeshivah of Flatbush uses the Common Core State Standards, a multi-disciplinary curriculum that raises the standards for competence in reading, math, social studies and science with the goal to better preparing students for college, careers and increased global competition. Teachers focus on higher-level comprehension skills, informational reading, rhetoric, informational and narrative texts, writing across the curriculum, as well as vocabulary development and increasing the level of text complexity for all grades.
