Israel Guidance

The Yeshivah of Flatbush is built on 3 major pillars – the devotion to תורת ישראל, identification with and allegiance to מדינת ישראל and care and concern for עם ישראל. All three of these components are part of the Flatbush experience; these pillars are integrated homogenously into daily life even more concretely when a student spends a year devoted to Torah study while living in the land of Israel, among the people of Israel. The Israel Guidance department is committed to helping students explore the possibility of spending a year after high school in Israel, furthering their commitment to Torat Yisrael, Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael. Israel Guidance counselors help students sort through the various Israel study choices and decide on the program best suited to their interests. Counselors also meet with parents to give them information and answer their questions and review their concerns. We work with students and parents to find scholarships, gain college credit for the learning program and get a college deferral for a year of study abroad. In addition, the Israel Guidance department is committed to providing ongoing support for our students during their year in Israel and beyond. The Yeshivah of Flatbush is proud to have graduates who have attended the following Israel programs:
