Student Programs

Lunch n' Lit, the Library Book Club

  • Read a variety of interesting and thought-provoking books, and discuss them with other students over lunch! Meeting once every other week, regular attendees are also eligible for Archon credit!

Advanced Book Club

  • Students meet to discuss literary classics and contemporary literary works of note. Steady participants receive Archon credit.

Partners in Reading

  • This high school - middle school book club provides a great mentoring opportunity, as students read great books, meet for lunch with middle school book club members, and lead book talks and literary discussions.

Reading Championship

  • 9th and 10th graders compete in a monthly reading challenge to enhance their comprehensive and analytical skills, with winners qualifying for an award and Arista recognition! All participants will also receive Archon credit.

Book Day

  • A cross-curricular symposium for juniors and seniors, coordinated by the Library and English departments, centered on the themes from one book, showcasing numerous workshop sessions led by guest presenters as well as faculty. Students participate in producing art, drama and film interpreting the themes of the book and are involved in all levels of creating and presenting Book Day.
