A Historic Moment in our Yeshivah’s Nearly 100-year History

 Dear Flatbush Family,

We are proud to announce the appointment of Rabbi Avi Harari as the first-ever Rabbinical Leader of the Yeshivah of Flatbush, a position designed to serve as a spiritual anchor for our entire school family.

This is the first time in our nearly 100-year history that such a role has been established, one that will serve as a source of guidance for both our Elementary and High School buildings. In a world of increasing complexity, we are proud to unify our entire Yeshivah under one trusted voice of Torah and middot. As one Flatbush family, we believe deeply in having one clear and steadfast guide to help shape the values and kedushah of our school community.

Rabbi Harari, esteemed Rosh Bet Midrash, has long inspired students, faculty, and parents through his shiurim, podcasts, and daily interactions. His warmth, wisdom, and leadership will now extend schoolwide, shaping the religious life of every student and elevating our shared values.

This appointment continues a beloved family legacy. Rabbi Harari is the son of Rabbi Dr. Raymond Harari z”l, former Head of High School, and Mrs. Vicky Harari, a guiding force in our community. Together with his wife Zahava, a Yoetzet Halacha and respected educator, they are raising five children with the very Torah values they so passionately model and teach.

We look forward to this new chapter with gratitude, pride, and great anticipation, for a future rooted ever more deeply in Torah, mitzvot, and Klal Yisrael.

Shabbat Shalom,

Ralph S. Shamah

President
