Make Your Voice Heard! Vote in Local Primaries from the Comfort of Your Home
June 12, 2020

Dear Flatbush Family,

As American citizens it is our civic duty to vote. Most of us vote for Presidential elections, but fewer people tend to vote in the more local elections. As a community and as a school, these local elections have broad implications and need our attention and involvement. Local politicians play a huge role in making sure the Jewish community and non-public schools receive a fair share of state funding for security, STEAM funding and other reimbursement programs.

New York’s presidential primary is back on (for now), but there is still some uncertainty if it will stand. Regardless of the final decision, we want to emphasize that there are still very important local primaries happening, some in our backyards. Given the current stay at home situation, the government has made voting from home possible.

To vote from the safety of your home, complete the absentee ballot request form here and mail or email it back to your county elections office. To find your county elections office click here.

Remember that elected officials pay attention to communities that vote. Your vote can help us gain support for the Jewish community!
