2.3.22

February 3, 2022 -

Dear Seniors and Parents,

We hope your final semester of high school is off to a great start! It is important that you continue to put your best foot forward in all of your classes and endeavors. Finishing the year strong will set you up for great success at the next stage of your journey. Please read below for additional important reminders.
Mid-year Transcripts
We send your Mid-Year Reports (i.e. updated transcripts) to all colleges (except CUNYs) as soon as they are finalized and available. However, if you’d like to request that we send a copy to CUNY, please complete this form.
Admission Results and Status Checks
Many students have begun to receive decisions on their applications. Please remember to share all of your news with your counselor when you receive it.

Wondering if you have a decision or want to check the status of your application(s)? You likely received login information to access applicant portals at the colleges you applied (e.g. CUNYFirst). Please be sure to set up these accounts and log in to monitor your applications and verify all components are received. It is likely you will also find information about admission decisions in these portals.
Financial Aid Applications
Be sure to submit financial aid applications by the posted deadlines. If you plan to apply for financial aid and have not yet done so, you should apply immediately! This means submitting the FAFSA and the CSS Profile (if your school requires the CSS Profile). Some schools may have additional requirements as well (such as their own forms or IDOC).
Scholarships
You should continue to research NOW for scholarships that you may be eligible for. Fastweb.com is a great starting place as is Going Merry, which allows us to add your school materials to apply to some scholarships from the platform. Here are a few additional opportunities to check out:
Please be in touch with your counselor if you have any questions or concerns. We wish you continued success in your final semester of high school!

Warmly,

Ms. Long, Mrs. Dressler, Ms. Natov, Rabbi Rosenlum,
Rabbi Schwartz, and Ms. Kuznicki
