Students Learn About the Work of M.C. Escher

June 14, 2019
Recently, two students from each math streaming group in grades 3-5 were treated to a special trip. They attended a special guided tour of the M.C. Escher exhibit in Industry City. Escher was a Dutch graphic artist who integrated math and engineering into his artwork. Students received a tour of his many tessellated creations, which included animals. Following the tour, the students enjoyed an outdoor tessellation art activity. Students were selected for this trip because of their hard work and continued participation in math class. The trip was organized by Lower Division Math Coordinator Marsha Kevelson.
