This year’s Edith Wachsman A”H Memorial Bake Sale and Auction, with the theme of Breads & Spreads, was graciously hosted at the beautiful home of Jennifer and Sonny Shalom.
The event began last Wednesday evening and was made extra special by Rabbi Naftali Besser’s moving tribute to Jaclyn Ashear A”H. A delicious dinner provided by Zami caterers was sponsored by our hosts.
Continuing with the theme, Thursday started off bright and early with portraits by Jennifer Stein-Jemal. A bountiful lunch was provided by volunteer chefs. Baked goods, breads and spreads were on display and available for purchase all day.
Thank you to Sara Tawil for a great sourdough demonstration. Thank you to Head of Elementary School Rabbi Yahel Tsaidi for an inspiring Dvar Torah. Our panel on mind body connection: exploring health & wellness, provided an informative discussion. Thank you to Suzanne Sasson for moderating as well as our panel members: Pamela Azizo, Vicky Harari, Paulette Jerome, Adele Khaski, Bonnie Shams, and Sari Sitt. The day was a huge success thanks to our bake sale committee and all the many volunteers, sponsors and shoppers. Thanks to all who joined us!
