Last week, the 6th grade girls and their mothers celebrated their Bat Mitzvah in an elegant fashion. The night commenced with a beautiful Dvar Torah by Middle Division Principal Rabbi Dr. David Hertzberg. He connected the upcoming chag of Pesach with the importance of becoming a Bat Mitzvah. Another meaningful speech was given by Mrs. Deborah Brand. 6th grade student Lidya Mohadeb spoke of her personal connection to becoming a Bat Mitzvah.
The girls and their mothers then enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by a musical performance led by Mrs. Lily Mauskopf. Afterwards, Mrs. Dina Kraiem led the students and their mothers in a dance. The girls then all gathered for a slideshow put together by Mrs. Zahava Tirnauer. At the end of the evening, the girls all received a pink Tehillim book.
Thank you to Mrs. Fortune Terzi, Mrs. Deborah Brand and Mrs. Lynn Dashiff for coordinating this meaningful event.
