Over the last week, our JBHS students have travelled to Spain, Morocco and Gibraltar; New Orleans and Poland to further their classroom learning beyond the walls of the school. You can read about their experiences below and on Myflatbushlife.com
Sephardic Heritage Trip to Spain, Morocco and Gibraltar
Fourteen seniors participated in a week-long Sephardic Heritage Trip to Spain, Morocco, and Gibraltar with Ms. Miriam Wielgus and Rabbi Avi Harari. The trip gave our students the opportunity to explore both the history of Sephardic Jewry as well as contemporary Spanish culture in some of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in Europe.

Chesed and Cultural Opportunities in New Orleans
Twenty-four seniors traveled to New Orleans, where they participated in a wide array of chesed opportunities, including repairing homes, ensuring energy efficient environments and packing food for the needy. They also enjoyed a trip to an NBA basketball game, airboat swamp tour, and a jazz concert. This trip is in partnership with NCSY.

Senior Heritage Trip to Poland
Twenty-six of our seniors and two faculty members journeyed Poland, where they are learning first-hand about the life of European Jewry before, during, and after the Holocaust on the annual Senior Heritage Trip to Poland.
