Grandparents' Day: A Memorable Morning for Nursery Students and their Grandparents
April 4, 2019
Sunday morning, March 31st, our Nursery students and their grandparents were treated to an unforgettable morning! When the adorable children entered the building holding hands with their smiling grandparents, we knew the day would be a success.

Grandparents’ Day 2019 was a bee themed extravaganza. The children ran excitedly to show their grandparents their classrooms and introduce them to their teachers. The grandparents and grandchildren worked on a project together before they headed upstairs for brunch.
The black, white and yellow room was a BEE-utiful sight to see! The children and grandparents feasted on a delicious spread while chatting and bonding. The day included remarks from Yeshivah of Flatbush President Abe J. Hidary and Head of Elementary School Rabbi Yahel Tsaidi, followed by a video starring the Nursery students with personalized remarks for their grandparents. You can see the video below!
The highlight of the morning was the sweet songs the students sang about their grandparents. It was so special to see the audience beaming with pride at their little stars on stage. The grandparents and grandchildren left school with prizes in their hands and smiles on their faces.
Special thanks to an amazing committee of parents who planned each detail to perfection. This event would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of Early Childhood Director Debbie Levine Greenbaum, Early Childhood Assistant Director Cheryl Weinberger and the entire Nursery staff, who excitedly prepared the students for the performance and who always love them like their own. Thank you to the event sponsors: Zvi and Jody BenHaim, Ezra and Danielle Dweck, Morris and Tunie Hanan, Jack and Esther Hidary, Gabriel and Nancy Khezrie, Morris and Rena Jerome, Abraham and Vivian Dushey and Hymie and Esther Mishan.
