Sam Freedman’s third grade math students learned how to use Google Sheets through integrated math and technology lessons. Prior to using their Chromebooks, students were taught new math vocabulary words (cell, column, row, horizontal, vertical, tally, axis, and survey) and how they are applied. When it was time to create their own spreadsheets using Google Sheets, students were able to apply the concepts that they had learned into their data. Students also worked on bar graphs and learned how to organize data collected.
