Mrs. Rosenzweig's 8th Grade Math Class Utilizes TI Graphing Calculator Technology in the Classroom!

Mrs. Helen Rosenzweig's 8th grade students have been experiencing academic success through the use of graphing calculators in the classroom and at home. Independent studies* indicate that the use of graphing calculators helps improve the mathematical skills of students and their attitudes toward mathematics. Further research* shows that the use of graphing calculators increases the level of achievement among students who have a personal graphing calculator for use outside of class and for homework.

The graphing calculators have been helping students build the skill sets to perform better in mathematics. Graphing calculators have been challenging the students to work out mathematical problems by visualizing them. Through the use of graphing calculators, the students have been able to see expressions, formulas and graphs on screen, to be able to explore concepts and make connections for a deeper understanding.
