JV Boys Sprint Out to 4-0 Start

With a win on Monday night (11/25) the confident Flatbush JV Boys Basketball team moved out to an impressive 4-0 start on the 2019-20 season, defeating the visiting Derech Hatorah Bulldogs at the Falcons Nest in Brooklyn, NY.

Rookie Head Coach and former Flatbush Falcon Abie Rosow had his boys clicking on all cylinders, building a double-digit lead against the YDH Bulldogs late in the first quarter. He took advantage of the opportunity presented to see all of his Falcons get significant minutes, adjusting his line-up to see how his boys work with different on-court pairings. Coach Rosow pushed all the right buttons, and the Flatbush JV's rolled to a convincing 67-31 victory, the teams fourth in a row.

Perhaps the most significant win so far, though, came in the regular season opener as the Falcons surprised pre-season favorite DRS by defeating the Wildcats on their home court. Coming in off two lack-luster pre-season contests, Coach Rosow was a little unsure of how the boys would perform when the result counted, but the Falcons were up to the challenge, topping the hosts by a final score of 48-33.

Flatbush then went on to record wins over North Shore (42-28) and Shaare Torah (40-31).

Next up for the Falcons is the annual Hausdorff Tournament, where the boys will play four games in four days against opponents from Detroit, Philadelphia and Rehovot, Israel.
